The Horror of A Smile

Earlier this year I am made a fun Horror short/Music Video to a song titled "Horror of Our Love" and "Smile" I combined both songs together for the title. The concept behind this video is very simple. A happy couple goes out to the beach together and have a great time. Through all their flirting and happiness no one would suspect that the boyfriend has intentions to murder his girlfriend. He takes her behind a cave and murders her there and leaves her body behind. She wakens in a zombie state and tries to find him. She searches the entire beach and he is no where to be found. He comes back because he feels terrible about just leaving her there, but she is now gone and no where to be found as well. They eventually end up finding each other. He apologizes to her, but in her zombie state doesn't listen, just bites him. He becomes a zombie as well and they live happily ever after as a zombie couple. I will get the link up very soon! Check it out! It was just a fun one day shoot that a few friends and I made. I wrote and directed it.

Tim Burton's Frankenweenie

Movie Synopsis:
After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life -- with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

 My Review:
So, I am not one to be on the Tim Burton train with films such as Corpse Bride, Willy Wonka, Alice in Wonderland or Dark Shadows because I feel he went downhill after his 2003 film Big Fish. He shouldve never brought back Johnny Depp after Edward Scissorhands! HOWEVER! Tim Burton's newest film FRANKENWEENIE in my opinion is brilliant! He seems to be back to his old Burton ways! This Original idea, the classic black and white, creepy, horrific aesthics and having Danny Elfman do the music composition gives Burton his edge back to the Horror director he started out as. The fact that this film was in Stop Motion Animation I thought was brilliant as well! I highly reccomend the film and give it a 9/10 and not a 10 because I feel character development could have been better. Go see it!
