The Horror of A Smile
Earlier this year I am made a fun Horror short/Music Video to a song titled "Horror of Our Love" and "Smile" I combined both songs together for the title. The concept behind this video is very simple. A happy couple goes out to the beach together and have a great time. Through all their flirting and happiness no one would suspect that the boyfriend has intentions to murder his girlfriend. He takes her behind a cave and murders her there and leaves her body behind. She wakens in a zombie state and tries to find him. She searches the entire beach and he is no where to be found. He comes back because he feels terrible about just leaving her there, but she is now gone and no where to be found as well. They eventually end up finding each other. He apologizes to her, but in her zombie state doesn't listen, just bites him. He becomes a zombie as well and they live happily ever after as a zombie couple. I will get the link up very soon! Check it out! It was just a fun one day shoot that a few friends and I made. I wrote and directed it.

If you plan on going to see this and dont want the surprises and scares to be ruined then DONT read this blog!!
The 6 Mazes consists of:
- The Walking Dead: Dead Inside - A DREAM for any fan of the popular AMC show The Walking Dead! "You'll follow in the footsteps of the survivors as you make your way from a devastated suburban hospital, through the chaotic streets of Atlanta to the remote countryside, where a lone barn holds a terrible secret." I watched a exclusive clip from the making of this ride and they use real prosthetics from actors of the show on the characters in this maze, pretty awesome!
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Saw Is The Law - Everybody gets a chance to walk through an almost exact replica of the house used in the original film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. You walk in and you are already in the middle of everything! Leather Face choppng up bodies and even joining in the family dinner at the table. Very gorey and insane for any fan of the movie!
- Welcome To Silent Hill : I've honestly have never seen this movie, however this maze was very cool! The description of this maze taken from the Horror Nights website reads: "Feel your blood freeze as you come face to face with Pyramid Head, the colossal executioner, armed with an enormous jagged blade. Go under the knives of devilishly disfigured nurses, determined to scar you for life. Struggle for your final gasps of air as the Bogeyman smashes everything in his path with his murderous hammer."

- Alice Cooper Goes To Hell 3D: This is almost exactly what any Alice Cooper fan would expect out of him. With his music playing in every room of the maze, strippers, zombies and monters popping out of every neon colored corner you can get so lost! Making this maze in 3D was the best move for Alice Cooper and definitely stands out from all the other mazes in the park.
- Universal Monsters Remix: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to party with some of the classic Universal Monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein and The Wolfman? Then this is the maze for you! Walking through Dr. Frankensteins lab with the Bride of Frankenstein in a mini skirt and a DJ playing in the back, being chased by Chucky and being threatened by Norman Bates mother this maze is one that is any Universal Monster fan can appreciate!

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

| Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Movie Poster |
Mixed with vampire slaying, this is an accurate depiction about Abraham Lincolns life. From everything from growing up in Chicago to leading an army in the Civil War. Sadly, this movie has gotten some really bad reviews. For the most part to me, it seems this movie is a "love it or hate it" movie. I have talked to Horror fans and History buffs about this film and this is where the mixed reviews come in.
The Horror fans love it! The blood, guts, vampires and dark aesthetics of this film make it an instant horror classic! We as Horror fans get the best of both worlds, an iconic figure kicking major ass killing and spilling the blood EVERYWHERE of vampires! The History buffs HATE it. To them, if every little detail about Abraham Lincolns "real" life isn't accurate than it's an insult.

The 2nd Presidential Debate
October 16th, 2012 was the 2nd presidential debate of 2012, President
Obama vs. Mitt Romney. The first debate undoubtedly went to Mitt
Romney. Mitt took the “attack” approach and publicly announced and
brought to attention every aspect of Barack Obama’s presidency that went
wrong. President Obama seemed to be caught off guard and his responses
seemed un settling and President didn’t have an appropriate answer for
most of the debate. This second round was a different story. With being
previously being on “defense” mode Obama had a quick response for every
remark Mitt made. Which this time seemed to catch Mitt of guard. This
second debate, without a doubt with to President Obama.
Many controversial questions and remarks approached themselves this debate, including welfare, immigrants and President Obama’s presidency. Since when a question is asked and both debaters have the opportunity to speak their mind on the case. Maybe because Obama has had 4 years experience in the oval office and Romney has only had governor experience, Obama had better and more appropriate answers.
The welfare and immigration topic was all brought together into one question. In short, the question was just about how we are going to protect the border and how to protect our jobs from being taken away from people who aren’t even legal. Not in exact words, but for the most part Romney replied with keeping illegals out of our country. He wants all the americans with legal documentation or green cards to have the jobs and stay financially safe. Those who aren’t, need to go back to what country they came from. He says ANY person who has a legal document is welcome. Obama’s answer seemed a bit more welcoming. Mr. President said the same answer, but without allowing illegal immigrants. Obama seemed to shy away from that aspect of the question, but due to Obamas previous term, illegal immigration wasn’t the top priority. In a way its god but also bad. Immigration act shouldn’t be the main problem on a presidents mind in my opinion. There are thieves, murders and terrorists in our country and preventing someone from Mexico from working at the grocery shouldn’t be his main concern.
During the debate Mitt Romney threw out many stabs at President Obama and how bad his term was. The main issues were taxes, unemployment, gas prices and womens rights. Obama attack right after and made some great points. The fact that unemployment was already down when we went into office, the gas prices were a bit lower, but he’s working on that and thats he is trying his hardest on finding jobs for america. However, I think Obama’s strongest point was when we attack on the Osama Bin Laden point. The fact that Obama pulled soldiers out of unwanted areas and into Afghanistan here the real terrorist was and killed him was the biggest accomplishment. For that, I will vote Obama back into office.
A quote taken from Michael Vass, a Binghamton Political Buzz Examiner, explains the overall debate in a few sentences. A couple poitns that I didnt point, was said in this quote.
“Mitt Romney was more defensive. He emphasized the failures of the economy over the last 4 years, and attacked with critical questions that often went
unanswered by the President - such as the number of permits for oil/gas drilling that were cut. He also failed to detail specific answers, such as to how he
will protect deductions. The big misstep for Romney was when he tried to crush President Obama about his comments about the attack in Libya from the
Rose Garden - which moderator Candy Crowley confirmed in favor of President Obama.
Crowley for her part did well in generally limiting the run on of the candidates. She quickly and early on shut down”
Overall,
this 2nd presidential I feel was a great way to end it. Obama came back
strong with a win and Mitt Romney got what he deserved. I don’t feel
that that “Attack” mode strategy works in this situation. It makes Mitt
look bad and I believe that due to this Obama will be our president for
another 4 years.

High Gas Prices and Teen Drunk Driving

Teens Drunk Driving and Gas Prices
In the article Teen Drunk Driving Down Due To High Gas Prices, Study Says, The author explains the relationship between teens drunk driving and gas prices. The article supports the
recent study done by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that suggests that due to new
laws and higher gas prices that this has played a huge role in preventing teens from driving after
drinking. The study done by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that 22 percent of
high school students admitted to driving after drinking in 1991, while only 10 percent of high
school students admitted to it in 2011. Although the gas prices have been playing a role it seems
that the legal restrictions is what’s holding the main factor of what is keeping teens off the road
after drinking. With laws and consequences for not only teens, but everybody such as the legal
age limit of 21 and a D.U.I placed on our records is enough to keep anybody off the road.
According to the article, some more statistics state that due to the study “male students were
more likely to drink and drive than female students. It also found that boys 18 or older were most
likely to drive after drinking, while 16-year old girls were least likely.” The article goes on to
suggest a possible solution that may help the teen drunk driving rate decrease even more. Parents
getting involved in their child’s life and participating in the community can show their children
the risks and precautions of operating vehicle and even life safety practices that can possibly
save a life.
In relation to the article above, the article Teen Drunk Driving Rates Dropping Thanks To
Higher Gas Prices also goes off the same study done by Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention and the authors of the article explain a little bit more in detail about that statistic that
was done. For example, not only ages were involved in what the answers were but also race. The
stats show that “Eleven percent of white students and 12 percent of Hispanic students reported
driving after drinking, compared with 7 percent of black students.” The conclusion of this article
is a little bit from the previous article. Instead of coming up with a solution, this article seems to
be using the scare factor. With quotes relating to tragic deaths of teens can scare anybody.
On October 2nd, 2012 another article about drunk driving and gase prices was released.
The article Teen Drunk Driving Down As Unemployment, Gas Prices Rise. The summary of this
article is that they believe that one of the main reasons, besides as prices and laws, is that since
gas is so expensive teens can’t afford it due to jobs for teens being at an all time low. Not having
a job, especially as a teen, cant prevent anyone from buying a car and paying for the gas for it.
One thing that makes this article stand out from the rest is that it dedicates a paragraph to where
the teens may be getting the wrong idea from and not learning about the consequences from. The
parents play a big role according to the article, stating that “Teens learn from adults,” said
Pamela S. Hyde, the Administrator of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration. “That is why it is critically important that parents, teachers, coaches and all
caring adults in a young person’s life talk with them early and often about the dangers of
underage alcohol use as well as drinking and driving.”
